IMPACT Arena Bangkok: how to get there, eat, and get home after the show
How to get to IMPACT Arena Bangkok on the Pink Line, which exit for your hall, where to eat, and how to get home at 11pm, with 2026 last trains checked.

On this page10
IMPACT Arena is in Muang Thong Thani, just north of Bangkok, and the easy way there is the train. Take the BTS Sukhumvit line north to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, change to the Pink Line, change again at Muang Thong Thani onto the two-stop branch, and get off at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Exit 3 puts you on a covered walkway to the halls. From Siam it takes about an hour and costs about 100 baht.
Getting home is the part to plan. The Pink Line runs until midnight, but the last BTS into central Bangkok leaves Wat Phra Sri Mahathat at 23:43. If you're staying in town, be on a train at IMPACT station by about 11pm. Miss it and you're in the Grab queue with everyone else who was in the room.
We checked the train times against the operators' own timetables, and the halls, food and shows against IMPACT's own pages, on 23 October 2026. Timetables change, so look again in the week of your show.

Where is IMPACT Arena, and which hall is yours?
IMPACT Arena sits inside IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, a huge exhibition and events complex in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi province. It's just past Bangkok's northern edge, about 15 to 25 minutes by taxi from Don Mueang airport. The arena seats 12,000 and gets most of the big concerts: K-pop, Thai pop, the international acts. Live Nation took over running it in late 2025 and is refurbishing it in stages.
Your ticket might name a different hall, though. The complex has several, they're a fair walk apart, and each has a nearest station. Check before you set off.
| Hall | What's on | Nearest station |
|---|---|---|
| IMPACT Arena | Most big concerts, 12,000 seats | MT01, exit 3, then 8 to 10 minutes on foot |
| IMPACT Challenger (Halls 1 to 3) | Trade fairs like the Motor Expo, now and then a big standing show | MT01, exit 3: the walkway leads straight in |
| Exhibition Center (Halls 5 to 12) | Fairs; Halls 5 and 6 host some concerts and fan meetings | MT01 for Halls 5 to 8 |
| IMPACT Forum (Hall 4) | Conferences and events | MT02, then the skywalk |
| Thunder Dome | Smaller concerts, about 3,500 to 4,000 people | MT02, then about 6 minutes on the skywalk |
If your hall is at the far end of the Exhibition Center, add 10 to 15 minutes on foot.
How do you get to IMPACT Arena by train?
This is the route IMPACT itself draws for people coming from Siam, and the one it tells arena concertgoers to use.
- Take the BTS Sukhumvit line (light green) north towards Khu Khot and get off at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat (N17). From Siam that's 16 stops.
- Follow the pink signs to the Pink Line (PK16) and ride towards Nonthaburi Civic Center for six stops, to Muang Thong Thani (PK10).
- At Muang Thong Thani, go to platform 3 for the branch line and ride one stop to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani (MT01). For Thunder Dome or the Forum, stay on to Lake Muang Thong Thani (MT02).
- Leave by exit 3. A covered walkway takes you into Challenger Hall 1, and the arena is a few minutes' walk beyond it, about 8 to 10 minutes from the station in all. On a show night, follow the T-shirts.

From Siam the whole trip is about an hour and about 100 baht: roughly 60 on the BTS and 38 on the Pink Line. Pink Line fares run from 15 to 45 baht by distance. Branch trains come every 10 minutes in the evening and all day at weekends, and the operator adds trains when there's a big event on (official timetable).
How to pay. The BTS takes a Rabbit card or a single ticket from the machine. The Pink Line takes a Rabbit card or a tap of a contactless Visa or Mastercard. The simplest plan is a Rabbit card from any BTS ticket office, topped up with enough for both ways. After the show the Pink Line's ticket machines have long queues, they sell single tickets by QR payment, and they top up Rabbit cards with banknotes only.
You'll also see a new name on signs and timetables: the Pink Line's official name is now the Wiwat Nakhon line. Same pink monorail.
From other places:
- Mo Chit or Chatuchak: the same route from the BTS, about 15 minutes shorter.
- Silom or Sathorn: the BTS Silom line to Siam, then the route above.
- Don Mueang airport: the Red Line to Lak Si, then the Pink Line towards Nonthaburi Civic Center to Muang Thong Thani and the branch. Or a taxi, 15 to 25 minutes.
- Nonthaburi or the Purple Line: change at Nonthaburi Civic Center (PK01) and ride the Pink Line towards Min Buri.
The line has the odd bad day. A switch fault slowed trains for two days in July 2026, so glance at the MRT Pink Line Facebook page before you leave. If your legs are done on the way in, there's a motorbike-taxi stand under exit 3, and IMPACT says rides to the halls start at 15 baht.
Can you get there by taxi, Grab or van?
Yes. A taxi or Grab from Siam or Sukhumvit takes about 40 to 60 minutes in normal traffic and costs about 250 to 400 baht, plus expressway tolls if you take them. Grab shows the price before you book. Type "IMPACT Arena" as the destination. On show nights the roads around the complex fill up, so leave more time than the app suggests.
Daytime vans run to Muang Thong Thani from Victory Monument (35 baht, until 10pm) and Chatuchak (36 baht, until 9pm), and take 30 to 45 minutes. They're handy for an afternoon arrival. Don't count on them to get home: most stop before a show ends.
Driving? IMPACT sends arena crowds to the P3 car park and AKTIV Square. Most car parks close at midnight, but The Portal's outdoor lot stays open until 2am on arena nights. Getting out after a big show can take 30 to 60 minutes.
Where to eat before the show
Eat before you go in, and give yourself 60 to 90 minutes before the start to eat, find your gate and queue. Inside the arena it's concession food: S&P, McDonald's, Auntie Anne's, Dunkin', Chester's Grill and Black Canyon Coffee, plus a drinks bar at Gate 1. Fine for a snack. Not where you want dinner.
The Portal, the low building beside the arena, is the easy choice. Its third floor is Food Arena, a food court with more than a dozen counters, open 10am to 8pm and until 9pm on arena concert days. Downstairs you'll find Bonchon, Lim Lao Ngow fishball noodles, Hong Kong Suki, Tsubohachi's Japanese izakaya, Cafe Amazon, and Isan @ Arena for northeastern Thai food, which opens on selected event days only.
Challenger Hall 3 has a Food Atrium with Taisho-tei ramen, Hong Kong Café and Nippon Yokocho, a row of Japanese izakaya counters that stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. All the hours are on IMPACT's dining page.
Tickets, ID and what to bring
Each show's promoter sets its own rules, and they're on your ticket page. Read them the day before. A few come up at most big Bangkok shows sold through Thai Ticket Major:
- Your name has to match your ID. Names go in English, and for a visitor the ID is your passport. Bring it.
- The confirmation email isn't a ticket. Have the e-ticket or QR code ready, or collect the paper ticket if your show uses them.
- Phones are fine, cameras usually aren't. Anything with a detachable lens stays out.
- Outside food and drink usually stays at the door. Finish your water before security.
- Charge your phone. It's your ticket, your train fare and maybe your Grab at 11pm.
Got two tickets and nobody for the second? A Thai friend from Bangkok can take it: someone to stand in the merch queue with, read the Thai signs, and walk the skywalk back with you at the end.
How do you get home from IMPACT after a concert?
Big arena shows usually finish between 10:30 and 11pm. Here are your options, in the order we'd use them.
By train
These are the last trains on the official Pink Line and BTS timetables.
| From | Towards | Last train |
|---|---|---|
| IMPACT Muang Thong Thani (MT01) | Muang Thong Thani (PK10) | 00:02 |
| Muang Thong Thani (PK10) | Min Buri, for the BTS and the Red Line | 00:19 |
| Muang Thong Thani (PK10) | Nonthaburi Civic Center, for the Purple Line | 00:40 |
| Wat Phra Sri Mahathat BTS (N17) | All the way to Kheha, Bang Wa or National Stadium | 23:28 |
| Wat Phra Sri Mahathat BTS (N17) | Siam (arrives 00:15), then Samrong, Bang Wa or National Stadium | 23:43 |
Read it from the bottom. The last BTS that reaches Siam leaves Wat Phra Sri Mahathat at 23:43. The Pink Line takes 12 minutes from Muang Thong Thani to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, and before that you have the branch ride, two changes and up to 10 minutes' wait for each train. So for anywhere on the BTS in central Bangkok, get on a train at IMPACT station by about 11pm. If the show runs late, leave on the encore.

Missed it? The Pink Line still runs. The last train from Muang Thong Thani towards Min Buri reaches Wat Phra Sri Mahathat at 00:31, and a ride home from there means booking away from the IMPACT crowd. Either way, have your Rabbit card topped up or your contactless card out, and skip the ticket machine queue.
By Grab or taxi
Right after a sold-out show, thousands of people open the same app at once. A half-hour wait for a car isn't unusual, and prices climb with demand. Two things help:
- Walk away before you book. Don't book at the arena doors. Walk to the front of the Novotel, or towards BeeHive or Cosmo Bazaar, where a driver can stop, and message them where you're standing.
- Or wait it out. Have a drink, let the crowd go, then book.
In a taxi, ask for the meter. If a driver offers a flat price, agree it, tolls included, before you get in. And at night, take the train or an app ride that shows the driver's name and plate, rather than a motorbike taxi from the car park.
By van
After arena concerts, vans wait on the road in front of IMPACT Arena and at the public-transport stop in front of AKTIV Square. Where they go changes from night to night, so ask the destination and the price before you get in.
Stay late, or stay over
Not in a rush? Retro Bar & Café on the ground floor of The Portal and Flann O'Brien's Irish Pub in Challenger Hall 3 both stay open until midnight. Nippon Yokocho does too on Fridays and Saturdays. Eat, let the roads clear, then go.
Or don't go at all. Novotel Bangkok IMPACT is about 200 metres from the arena, with a covered walkway into the halls, and ibis Bangkok IMPACT is about 10 minutes' walk. Rooms go fast on big show nights, so book when you buy your ticket.

Bring a friend to the show
Got two tickets? Take this plan, pick a friend in Bangkok, and send the day, the time and where to meet. Wat Phra Sri Mahathat or exit 3 at IMPACT station both work. They ride out with you, eat with you at The Portal, sing along, and on the way out they can tell the Grab driver in Thai exactly where you're standing. You book them by the hour, from when you meet to when the show ends, and it's always platonic: no sex, no kissing, no harassment. Their time is the booking. You buy their ticket, and food and drinks are paid on the night. If your show checks names against ID, message us in the chat before you buy the second ticket. A drink at Retro Bar afterwards? Pick a friend who's up for drinks: they're all 20 or over. How booking works.
Questions people ask
Is IMPACT Arena in Bangkok?
Almost. IMPACT Arena is in Muang Thong Thani, in Pak Kret district of Nonthaburi province, just north of the Bangkok city line. It's on the Pink Line, about an hour by train from Siam and 15 to 25 minutes by taxi from Don Mueang airport.

IMPACT Muang Thong Thani (MT01), on the Pink Line's two-stop branch. Change at Muang Thong Thani (PK10) to platform 3, ride one stop, and leave by exit 3. The walk to the arena takes about 8 to 10 minutes.
What time is the last train from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani?
The last train from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani leaves at 00:02, on the timetable in force since 1 September 2025. If you need the BTS into central Bangkok, though, the last train that gets you to Siam leaves Wat Phra Sri Mahathat at 23:43, so leave IMPACT station by about 11pm.
How do I get to Thunder Dome at Muang Thong Thani?
Take the Pink Line branch one stop past IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, to Lake Muang Thong Thani (MT02), and follow the skywalk. It's about 6 minutes on foot.

Usually not. Most promoters stop outside food and drink at the door, and the rules are on your ticket page. Inside the arena there's S&P, McDonald's, Chester's Grill, coffee and a drinks bar, and The Portal's food court is next door.
